SUMMARY:8th Congress of the Hellenic Ecological Society
DESCRIPTION:The 8th Congress of the Hellenic Ecological Society under the title «150+ years of Ecology : structures\, dynamics and survival strategies» is being organized by the Hellenic Ecological Society in Thessaloniki from 20th to 23rd October 2016 within the campus of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) in the KEDEA building (Research Results Dissemination Center). \nThe organization of the congress is taking place within the celebrations for the 90th anniversary of the AUTh and coincides with the 150th anniversary of the term Ecology. As stated by the organizers in their welcome note\, it was in 1866\, when the term was first used by the German scientist Ernst Haeckel. \nMore on the congress here. \n
