Evaluation of conservation status of forest habitat types of Community Importance \u2013 3rd National Report on the implementation of the Habitats Directive<\/strong><\/p>\n

The evaluation of the conservation status of the habitats types and species of Community Importance based on the results of the monitoring programmes, has been completed. The evaluation was done in the context of the 3rd<\/sup> National Report for the implementation of the Habitats Directive (92\/43\/EEC \u2013 Article 17) for the reference period 2007-2012, prolonged by two years (up to 2014) and was submitted to the European Commission in December 2014.<\/p>\n

Specifically, the conservation status (factsheets) was evaluated and maps of distribution and range for 88 habitat types and 63 species of flora and 239 species of fauna of Community Interest (through the special electronic tool of the EE). From a total of 88 habitat types, 54 were found to be in Favourable conservation status, 28 in Unfavourable, three in Bad while evaluation was not possible for three habitat types.<\/p>\n

Regarding the conservation status of the 28 forest habitat types, 25 were found to be in Favourable status, and three in Unfavourable:<\/p>\n
